Noida: Police Noida on Saturday said that he had caught two people to deceive Rs 2 Crore from people with the pretext of giving them a favorable monthly refund on their car’s taxi service company.
The mode of the gang operandi has been found similar to the famous ‘bicycle bot’ scam where more than two lakh people cheated around the 3,500 crore RS, the official said.
The problem was revealed after fraud complaints at the Phase 3 police station here, Deputy Commissioner of the Additional Police (Noida Central) Ankur Aggarwal.
“Company officials told investors that their taxis would be involved by the government for their officials based on contracts and all investors would get a profitable monthly refund,” Aggarwal said.
“However, when investors did not get a guaranteed return, the fraud was revealed and found that the taxi service contract they showed investors were also forged,” he said.
This case was chased and two people, identified as Vipin Tomar and Deepak Choudhary, had been arrested, while searching on for their other partners, police officers said.
According to officials, women whose apiple fired has been deceived by Rs 2.06 Crore by the company, which has convinced monthly refund investors of Rs 25,000 on the investment of Rs 3 Lakh.
A car of the Harrier Tata has been confiscated from their ownership and telephone-i purchased from a company account has been confiscated, police said.
Detailed investigations are being carried out to ensure assets purchased by gangs from investor money and they will also be confiscated, added the police.
