A police officer atlanta was shot on Wednesday afternoon in one of the busiest busiest commercial districts and was seen being taken away with a bad bloody after a series of shots, police and a witness.
Atlanta police officer CJ Johnson said the shooting took place in the Midtown district.
Authorities asked the public to avoid some Peachtree Street, the main highway through the heart of the city.
Patrick Walker, who worked as a concierge for the apartment building, told Astlanta Journal-Constitution that he heard a series of shots.
Walker was at the hotel front desk when he heard a shot and saw the police run through the doors.
Employees and other people in the lobby trying to seek salvation, he said.
Walker then saw an officer done by his arm and legs “bloody so bad,” he told his newspaper.
The shooting took place at Peachtree Street One Block in the North The Fox Theater and Georgian Terrace Hotel, where members of the actor “ go with the wind ” stay when the film made Atlanta Premier.
Videos from local television stations show a large number of police officers and police cars outside the apartment building after the shooting.
The Georgia Investigation Bureau said he was investigating the shooting at the request of the Atlanta Police Department.
There were no other details that were immediately released.
