Jodhpur: Police Commissioner Jodhpur has set an ambitious goal of the installation of 8 CCTV lakh cameras in the city to discuss around 20 urban populations to maintain 360-degree watches on villains and violating laws that lead to the threat to law and messages.
Well on this ambitious target course, the police have managed to get around 9,000 cameras installed in the city since July 1, 2020 in addition to installing 2,800 cameras, thus taking the calculation of around 12,000.
“We have successfully installed around 12,000 cameras in the city so far.
Some of them have been installed by the government, but we also mobilize city residents to install cameras in their own buildings,” said Police Commissioner Jose.

For this, the sensitization of board members, market agencies, institutions and other shareholders has been affected and the results are quite promising.
“We have included commercial companies and religious places other than private housing and commercial units and focuses on decentralizing this drive to defeat the level,” said Mohan added that Beat Concents had been asked to take problems with every household, shop, institution and religion .
Efforts are also carried out to include government offices also in this drive with a view to ensure transparency and accountability in these offices and examine unethical practices.

It can be noted that in the order of forming a good concept of governance, the government has initiated the process of installing CCTV cameras in all police stations, though, in accordance with the Supreme Court’s orders and have been seeking estimates of all district administration.
“We have sent our requests.
We have expected the requirements of 50 cameras in each police station to cover all parts of the internal and external police station,” said Mohan welcomed the move.
“This will help bring a greater transparency in the functioning of the police at the police station, which is a place that directly cares about the residents who are looking for police assistance”, he said adding that they had begun to install cameras in the commissioner’s office and police.
