Coimbatore: Thanjavur District Police Officials visited the Saravanampatti police station in Coimbatore City on Saturday and conducted an investigation with the grandparents of class XII Lavanya students who died of suicide in their school dormitory.
They recorded their statements at the station after the interview provided by Grandma, Nithyananda Saraswathi, to the YouTube channel on Friday.
He had claimed in the interview that Lavanya’s mother had also died of suicide about eight years ago and the situation at home after it was not conducive to the girl who was forced to stay at a boarding school in Thanjavur.
Saraswathi accused that Lavanya branded on his cheeks by his stepmother last year and he was told about it by other students.
Therefore he told the Helpline Childline (1098) about the incident.
However, when Childline’s staff met with the girl, she denied the allegations on step charges on Saturday afternoon.
A police team from the station visited Ezhil Nagar, where Saraswathi was, and asked him and her husband appeared at the station for an investigation.

“In the future, the couple cannot deny their statement and change hostile during the trial,” said a police officer.
During the investigation, Nithyananda Saraswathi told the officials that he felt dizzy.
Immediately, his son took him to a private hospital and later, police officials told him that they would visit his residence to record his complete statement.
The police then conducted an investigation with a couple for at least 30 minutes.
When Tii met Saraswathi in front of the station, he said he knew whether Lavnya was harassed by stepmother.
“I can say that the situation at his residence is bitter.
School management also knew that no one would support the girl.
So he was asked to do all the work at the hostel.
But the cause of suicide is unknown,” said Saraswathi.
When Tii asked for Lavanya’s father’s view, Muruganantham to claim his grandmother, he said the problem was the sub-anim.
“We’ve talked about this case complex and nothing else to say.
Because of this case before the court, my advocate told me not to talk about it with anyone,” he said (NCPCR) and his chairman Priyank Kanoongo to ask killing Lavanya self.
