New Delhi: Delhi Police on Wednesday sent an email to Indian Twitter asking them to record all child pornography content and share the details of the Twitter account that had circulated media on the microblogging site.
This happened the day after Delhi police ordered Twitter under the protection of children from the Sexual Act (Pocso) of Information Technology, based on complaints received from the National Commission for the Protection of Children’s Rights (NCPCR) regarding the availability of child sexual abuse and pornography kids material on Twitter.
“We have searched for details of the media circulating and have asked for Twitter to delete content related to child pornography.
The links from these posts have also been asked along with the user details of the account,” the officer said.
Police spokesman Delhi Chinmoy Balikwal confirmed his development.
NCPCR first registered complaints with Delhi police with the same problem on May 29 and then sent reminders on June 8, asking forces to stay.
On Monday, a total of 13 screenshots and Twitter handles that showed content related to child sexual harassment and child pornography on Twitter were distributed by NCPCR with the police after it was registered.
During the investigation, it is in the future that some handles have removed the content and it was not available but the investigation on another handle was underway.
The case registered by Delhi police is the fourth registered against Twitter in less than two weeks in various cities.
The FIR has said that the NCPCR has conducted an investigation and “found evidence about the availability of these sites on the web that was dark and deep.
In this case, a total of 31 sites explored by NCPCR on the dark web.
Of the five, five is related to the Indian region, 19 Looks to have an Indian area and the rest are identified as an international site.
