Coimbatore: City Police restore 90 sovereignty of stolen gold jewelry from the thief lathe workshop in Ganapathy recently.
Even though the thief managed to escape to Sivaganga, two special teams have been formed to track the existence of thieves.
The police said the thief, a former prisoner, carried out the lathe workshop in Ganapathy.
He lives in a house adjacent to the lathe workshop.
On October 3, he allegedly stole a house belonging to Dhinakan, 44, from Velavan Nagar in Maniyakarampalayam and looted 105 sovereignty of gold jewelery from home.
The Saravanampatti police registered a case and lifted several fingerprints from the crime scene.
The police also collected CCTV snippets from the nearest area and have formed six special teams to catch thieves.
