Coimbatore: Two weeks after the 62-year-old Erode-based jewelry supplier robbed from 236 Sovereigns (1.88kg) gold jewelry and 7.5 lakh Rs, rural police recovered all stolen goods and captured three more in connection with the case on Friday.
Shanmugam Gandhi Nagar in Sathyamangalam at Erode has visited the city of Coimbatore on his motorbike on October 30 to get ideals for jewelry.
He was on his way to his son’s house in Vadavalli at night when two men were transmitted through his intercepting motorcycle on Jalan Vadavalli-Thondamuthur and grabbed a bag containing jewelry and money.
Police Vadavalli launched an investigation using CCTV footage and captured seven people in it with a robbery.
The police recovered a portion of stolen jewelry and stolen cash.
The police team arrested Basha, Samsudieen and Anbarasu on Friday and restored 1,697 grams of gold jewelry and RS 5.5 Lakh from the Trio Muthusamy and Police Inspector Selvanagarathinam appreciated the police team for arresting 10 robbers and recovering all the stolen nature.
