Police restore the ‘tiffin box’ hidden near the indo-sir border

Chandigarh: Punjab Police said it foiled the possibility of an attempt by terror attack after recovering a Tiffin box filled with an explosion hidden in the farm field near the Indo-Pak border in the Ferozepur district in the Eve of Gods.
Recovery was made in Ali Village on Wednesday after the interrogation of three people arrested earlier this week in connection with the Jalalabad Blast case.
Director General of Police (DGP) Preet Iqbal Singh Sahota said Ludhiana’s rural police on Monday had arrested two people for allegedly providing logistics protection and support to Ranjeet Singh alias Gora, a defendant in the Jalalabad case investigated by Nia.
The two people arrested were Jaswant Singh aka Shinda Baba, a village of Jhugge Nihanga Wale in Ferozepur, and Balwant Singh from Walipur Khurd Village in Ludhiana.
Ranjeet Singh aka Gora has also been arrested, said DGP.
According to an official statement, one “Tiffin bomb”, two pen drives and Rs 1.15 lakh cash recovered from the previous trio.
During the investigation of this case, it was revealed that the defendant had another “Tiffin bomb” they continued to be hidden in agricultural fields.
“Following the revelations of the people accused, shared search operations were carried out by the Intelligence Counter Team (from Punjab Polri), Ferozepur and Ludhiana and the Crime Investigation Institute (Crime Investigation) Jagraon in Ali Village to Ferozepur on Wednesday and Tiffin bombs were recovered, “DGP said.
A FIR has been registered under the relevant provisions of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) and the Lord of Long Activities (Prevention) (Prevention) (UPA) at the Sidhwan betting police station in Ludhiana Rural.
The Director General of Police Additional (Internal Security) RN Dhoke said that further investigation in this case is being and more arrests are expected to be carried out soon.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted a search in four locations in the Fazilka District and Ferozepur regarding the explosion in two wheels near the Punjab National Bank branch in Jalalabad Fazilka.
