Police set an example of honesty by restoring cash bags

Letter: Traffic police team warning at Bhatar Crossroads restored a bag containing Rs 1 lakh cash and returned it to its legitimate owner on Thursday.
The team, consisting of Kailash Bhagwatbhai, constable head, Baldevji Raghuji, Lok Rakshak, Dinesh Patel and Rahul Bahiram, both the Traffic Regulation of the Brigade (TRB) Jawan, was detained by the police commissioner of Ajay Tomar for their example services.
In the incident, Mittal Umiyagar, a resident of Althan, drove his moped when he accidentally dropped his bag.
Not realizing it, he kept riding his moped but the police saw the bag and restored him.
They check the contents and find the contact details.
Found that the bag contained Rs 1 Lakh, they handed it to the Athwagate Chowki police.
Meanwhile, even when Chowki police staff found Sim Umiyagar, the woman itself reached Crossroads Bhatar looking for a lost bag.
Here, the police asked him to contact Chowki Police Athwagate and after verification, they returned the bag to him.
“The bag was first seen and restored by TRB Jawan and he did an extraordinary job.
The police and kind of staff inspired us all to do a good job,” Tomar said.
Along with cash prizes, the traffic police team was given books and other prizes by Tomar in his office.
The team will be issued award certificate.
