Gurgaon: Clashes broke out between police and residents of Khori Faridabad Village who had gathered for Mahapachayat against the demolition of their homes as ordered by the Supreme Court.
The APEX court has directed that around 10,000 houses must be destroyed in the village, which has been illegally built in Aravali forest land.
The villagers, about a thousand of them, have begun to gather in Ambedkar Park around 11am.
Mahapachayat will be overcome by Farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni.
A heavy police contingent was deployed around the park because the training order below the 144 CRPC was applied in the area after protest against the demolition command.

Minister of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar, meanwhile, said his government had identified 3,400 people – from 1,400 families – which were voters in Khori and would be rehabilitated.

He said they had to make payments in advance for flats.
Faridabad police said they had ordered 400 people for violating part 144.
“Many people from the outside have gathered in Khori Village violating the orders of the barrier.
