Thane: Anti-narcotics cells (ANC) Thane police arrested three alleged drivers of drugs and restored almost two kg of charas and other materials worth Rs 40 Lakh.
The police also confiscated 334 grams of marijuana and 16 LSD papers from them.
The defendant has been identified as Eric Killen (27), Pravin Chaudhary (47), Dombivali residents, and Sumedh Kasbe (24), Navi Mumbai residents.
Acting on the tip-off that some people will bring narcotics with them, Detective ANC put a trap on Kalyan-Shil Street.
The police said that they saw a car near the river park in Desai Naka and intercepted him.
They added that after searching for a car, they found a bag with a smell of not breaking up.
Then, the police conducted Pancaama, and found 1.9 kg of chars worth Rs 38.9 lakh.
At the same time, they also recover 16 LSD papers which are worth Rs 1.12 lakh and 334 grams of marijuana worth Rs 10,020.
“We have also recovered cars and phones used in crimes worth more than RS 5 Lakh.
Violations are registered at the Daighar Police Station under various parts of the NDPS Law.”
