Police to use the face recognition application to detect criminals easily

Coimbatore: City and rural police will immediately use the face recognition application to detect criminals.
At present, this application is used by officials and a criminal tracking system (CCTNS), which upload photos of criminals, Rowdies and anti-social elements on their servers, which will be linked to the application.
The plan was to install the application on a special police sub-inspector, sub-inspector, inspector, deputy police supervisor and assistant commissioner of the police.
According to official sources, CCTNS unit officials have used applications on basic experiments for the past 10 days.
Usually, the source said the police uploaded photographs of the defendants in the case of murder, theft, vehicle theft, chain grabbed CCTNS.
“Every time the police hold allegations or suspects, they have to take photos on their cellphones and upload the same on the face recognition application, which is linked to the CCTNS server.
If the defendant or the suspect is arrested in some cases in the past, the application will display all the details of the case.
In short, the police can have a criminal background accused / suspect at their fingertips.
“City Police Commissioner Deepak M Damor confirmed that the CCTNS unit officer worked on the face recognition application.
“This will help the police get all the details accused easily.” All 38 rural police stations in the district have deployed the police to upload details of the first information report and photographs of the defendants on CCTNS.
They were given training in the CCTNS unit on Friday.
