Police-Villagers Clash Mars Gram Sabha on the School Project

Ranchi: The police on Tuesday used mild strength to stop the villagers from disrupting the gram Sabha in Silga Village who vowed to seek an opinion about the construction of Eklavya Vidyalaya, a residential school project sponsored centrally for tribes.
The source said a dozen people, including eight police, sustainable minor injuries in clashes in the village under the Chanho police station.
Until when submitting this report late at night, the villagers had blocked traffic on the National Highway Ranchi-Daltonganj to suppress school shifting elsewhere.
Most of the villagers opposed school at the above site who said it was related to Martyred Freedom Fighter Bighu Bhagat, leader of cabbage rebellion in the 19th century.
The Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda has placed the school foundation stone on August 24 this year amid heavy protests from the villagers.
On November 22, hundreds of villagers have stormed the area and destroyed the school boundary wall and burned the engine.
The police stood as a mute audience because they were losing the amount.
But on Tuesday, a large contingent of police personnel was deployed in silga for gram Sabha.
All village entry points are miculated to stop the residents of the neighboring area because they interfere with the meeting.
However, a large group of villagers began throwing stones in the police even when the last time tried to prevent them from reaching the meeting site.
The police used a lightweight Lathi charge to stop protesters.
But the villagers from outside finally managed to reach the Sabha and disturbing gram site.
Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Chavvi Ranjan said, “The Sabha gram was called to ensure the views of the people at school.
However, the trial could not happen.” It can be stated here that Eklvaya Vidyalayas is built in a block that has 50% of the adivating population.
Schools are developed as a center of excellence on navodaya vidyalaya lines.
