Police Wait for the DMK Polls on Promotions

MADURAI: A large number of police personnel from the southern district who have completed 20 years of service are awaiting the announcement of the state government for fast promotion, which is one of the DMK selection manifests.
Concents has urged the government to formulate the earliest new promotional rules.
The DMK has announced that special sub-inspectors will be given to the police chief, who has completed 20 years of service, by reducing five years of service for promotion.
Many have completed 20 years of service in the department and are very waiting for the announcement.
The sources of the police said that they had been recruited as a second-class police officer, it used to be 10 years to be promoted as first-grade police.
It will take five more years to become police chief.
After 10 years, one eligible to be promoted as a special police sub-inspector.
While 2002 Batch Concoples police approached 20 years of service, police personnel who were recruited in 1999 and 1997 were waiting for promotion.
