Thiruvananthapuram: Cyber City Police have issued a warning to the public to be alert to the gang that deceives people who are easily fooled by pretending to be KSEB officials.
Gang members will contact people and tell them that their power bill has passed and must make payments immediately through online to avoid termination.
Most are unconscious people using technology that falls in their trap prey.
They will direct the victims to install remote screen control applications on their cellphones on the grounds that help them make payments and then will secure the details of banking sensitive to their money from their account.
The police have registered many complaints in this case in the past week and have launched the probe.
