Ludhiana deputy commissioner of police (law and order) Ashwani Kapur, 55, who was sentenced into IPS, would be the next generation in police agencies.
His grandfather, Lala Diwan Chand Kapur of Gujranwala, Pakistan, had been 6 ft tall and a soccer player.
