New Delhi: Lok Sabha on Tuesday was information about the political killings that occurred between 2017 and 2019.
A total of 230 people were killed in various parts of the country for political reasons between two years, state minister of Nityanan and Rai.
He added that those killed for political reasons covered 49 in Jharkhand, 27 in West Bengal and 26 in Bihar.
While 99 people were killed in the country for political reasons in 2017; 59 Killed in 2018; and 72 in 2019, he said in a written reply at the request, the Minister of State for Nityanand Rai’s house told MPs that NCRB collected data, under the motives of murder of political reasons’, from countries since 2017.
Among the political killings between 2017 and 2019, a total of 24 cases like it was reported in Karnataka and each in Kerala and Maharashtra, he said.
West Bengal contributed the highest political killings – 13 in 2018 and the same number next year.
In 2017, Jharkhand recorded the highest murder – 42 – for political reasons, which contributed nearly 43% of national victims in this category.
In addition, 61 cases were recorded below this head in 2019, involving 72 victims.
In 2018, 54 murder cases for political reasons were registered and 59 people were killed.
In 2017, 98 was registered cases for the murder of 99 people.
The same numbers for the two years it seems because of the failure of the state government to provide 2019 on time.
