Political compulsion forces Modi’s hand, say MVA Netas on moving to agriculture laws

Nagpur / Chandrapur: After the Prime Minister announced the central government’s decision to revoke the farm legislation, constituent Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) said it was a political compulsion that forced the hands of Narendra Modi.
NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said the sheer fear of losing elections Uttar Pradesh and Punjab which will cause the modi change his attitude.
Overcoming media in Chandrapur, said Pawar, “BJP got a lot of negative reactions from both of these states and Haryana.
Therefore, look at all this as a political decision was taken to revoke the farm legislation.” Praising the farmers who protest, says Pawar , “they are firm and steadfast in their opposition to the law of the new agriculture.
they instill cold, rain, and heat and continue their struggle.
I pay homage to those farmers who continue their protest peacefully for a year.” Pawar claimed that the discussions on amending the law agricultural prices better support for harvest and to create an international market for agricultural products held when he was the Minister of Agriculture of the Union.
“Then, the BJP, which is in opposition, insisted on framing laws new farm.
I would argue that agriculture is a state matter and thus there is no initiative can be taken without discussion with states and other stakeholders.
I met the minister of agriculture, minister of marketing and cooperative and the different farmers’ unions.
Suggestions and recommendations are also sought from agricultural universities, “said Pawar.
Chairman of the State Minister Uddhav Thackeray issued a statement saying that the developments Friday proves that ordinary people win.
“I pay tribute to those who lost their lives during this agitation.
We hope that in the future, the union government will consult with the opposition parties before making any law,” said Thackeray.
He also added that the MVA always register opposition to agricultural law in both the cabinet and the legislature meets.
State Congress President Nana Patole said that Modi needs to do more than simply repeal the laws of agriculture.
“Modi and BJP is a liar habit.
We demanded that Modi should first apologize to the farmers and also promised that in the future there is no legislation anti-farmers will be introduced,” said Patole.
Patole added that certain modi action does not inspire confidence in farmers.
“Why is the Minister of the Union, whose son cut farmers under his car in Lakhimpur, still part of the cabinet.
So, the decision only because of fear of losing the election,” said Patole.
Cabinet minister Vijay Wadettiwar Modi said no decision “to be welcomed”.
Wadettiwar said, “Why do I have to welcome the decision that comes at a cost of 600 lives of farmers who are agitated.
Why did the government wait nine months before taking this decision.
It’s been done for the upcoming polls, nothing else.”
