Political leaders, leading personality welcomes Indians in Diwali

WASHINGTON: Many political leaders, including US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and other leading personalities were brought to social media on Thursday to extend their greetings to Indians who celebrate Diwali, Lamp Festival.
Diwali or Deepavali is a five-day festival that marks the victory of kindness over crime, light for darkness and knowledge of ignorance.
“Hopefully the light will remind us that from the darkness of knowledge, wisdom, and truth.
From the division, unity.
From despair, hope,” President Biden’s office said in a tweet.
“For Hindus, Sikh, Jain and Buddhism celebrate in America and around the world – from the people’s house for you, Happy Diwali,” Biden Tweet.
US Vice President Kamala Harris in the video message reminded people to “respect the light” and give hands to those who need when he wants “encouraging diwali” to everyone.
“Happy Diwali for everyone celebrates the lamp festival here in the United States and around the world.
@SecondGentLeman and I extend our warm expectations for holidays filled with light, love, and prosperity,” he wrote in a tweet.
“Happy Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diva for everyone celebrating in England and throughout the world!” British Prime Minister Johnson said in a tweet.

I want to thank you very much to Hindus, Sikh, Jains for everything you have done to support people who are vulnerable and helpful People are safe above the last 18 months, “he said in a video message on Twitter.
“I just want to expect everyone in England and throughout the world, especially our friends in India who suffer away earlier this year, Diwali is very happy.

Israeli Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett said “Friends” and Indian partners Narendra Modi in Diwali.
“Happy Diwali to my friend Narendra Modi and for everyone celebrating in India and around the world,” he said in a tweet.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid also extended their diwali greetings.
“Happy Diwali, for all our Indian and Hindu friends throughout the world! Hopefully this beautiful festival reminds us of the great light we can bring to the world together,” President Herzog said in a tweet.
“Happy Diwali to my friend Dr S Jaishankar & for all celebrating this profitable event.
Hopefully the light keeps winning the darkness,” Lapid Tweeted.

Congratulations Deepavali,” Tweeted Sri Lanka Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
“Deepavali, I pray for happiness, prosperity, wealth and divine grace for everyone,” said President Sri Lanka Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
CEO of Apple Team Cook and CEO Google Sundar Pichai also expressed their warm desire to people in India celebrating Diwali festivals.
“Hope DIWALI is happy and safe for all who celebrate throughout the world.
Hopefully the Lights Festival fills your house with happiness and health,” Cook said in a tweet.
“Happy Diwali for everyone celebrates the lamp festival! (Find a diama lights when you search” Diwali “on Google :),” Google CEO said Google and Alphabet said in a tweet.
The Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Ghebreyesus Bring to Twitter to hope India in Diwali, said: “Hopefully the dewali lights bring health and good happiness for everyone celebrate”.
