Captain White-Ball Kieron Pollard West Indies will return to the squad for those who will come against Ireland and England, said the National Cricket Agency (CWI) on Friday.
Pollard was ruled out from the tour of Pakistan this month after failing to recover from a hamstring injury suffered during the Twenty20 World Cup.
The tour was then cut short after the Covid-19 case in the West Indies camp.
West Indies are scheduled to play Ireland in three international One-Day starting January 8 in Jamaica and one-time Twente20 match on January 16 before traveling to Barbados to face England in January 22-30.
“We have tried to maintain the general make-up of the team from Pakistan’s tour before Christmas, with the captain and several senior players back,” said coach Phil Simmons said.
“Covid-19 has also played a role in the final make-up of the squad.
Challenge in the next few months is to make young players on both teams not only improve their skills but maintain their attitude and desire to see in Pakistan.” The Board said that all- Fabian Allen’s rounder has recovered from an ankle injury but will not be available for the Ireland series after testing positive Covid-19.
Fast Bowler Sheldon Cottrell and All-Rounders Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers, all of which miss Pakistan’s tour because Covid-19, is also included in the team to face Ireland and England.
