New Delhi: Ahead of the election of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Interior Minister Amit Shah met with senior JAT leaders at the BJP MP Parvesh Verma residence in Delhi on Wednesday.
Jat’s voice is expected to be the main swing factor in Western Up, who went to voting in Phase 1 in February 10.
During a meeting of almost 2 hours, leaders of JAT were reportedly collecting many demands including reservations for JAT, proportional representation of the central and upper government, Bharat Ratna For (former PM) Chaudhary Charan Singh, and set the price of sugar cane.
“HM responded positively to our problems,” said an audience.
More than 200 community leaders were reported to be present.
BJP has started a frightening JAT-Muslim consolidation in the west under the SP-RLD alliance.
The SP-RLD alliance has claimed that JATS, especially farmers, will not go with the Safron Party after protests throughout the year during the three agricultural laws.
It also claims that the sharp division between JATS and Muslims after the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots that benefit BJP, will be bridged.
Maintain all open post-polling alliance options, BJP MP Parvesh Verma, after meeting with Amit Shah, said, “We want to welcome (Head of RLD) Jayant Chaudhary in our house (BJP) but he has chosen the wrong path.
Community people JAT will talk to him.
Our door is always open for him.
