Agra: The Amu Coordination Committee on the State Executive Board on Sunday issued a resolution of 15 points as a Muslim issue charter and seeks the inclusion in the selection of manifesto political parties looking for their votes.
They also demanded guarantees that their demand would be implemented after the establishment of a new government.
They stated that this election was very important for the community, after experiencing systematic harassment with a verdict dispensation that was communally biased on the one hand and disappointed in the silence of all secular parties who had enjoyed power due to their en-mass election support.
In the resolution delivered by the Committee, consisting of more than 100 members including teaching, non-teaching university staff along with students and alumni, demanding – rapid investigations and time and innocence of innocent people framed under UPA and NSA, compensation and Rehabilitation of victims who were mistakenly involved by security institutions and experienced prolonged detention and severe torture but was found plain and released by the court.
Other points included in the resolution – the enactment of a comprehensive anti-communal and anti-hate crime law with strict punishment provisions and fast trials and the formation of a task force that has adequate stakeholder representation for the alertness of abuse and minority cruelty and Withdrawal of cases submitted to activists who conducted anti-CAA / anti-NRC agitation and compensation for victims of police cruelty during protests.
Also, Urdu must be considered the second official language in Uttar Pradesh.
Varsity Alumni and Coordinator of the Amu Coordinating Committee, Amir Mintoee, said that the “social security” of the minority community was very important because Lynching’s mob cases were reported throughout the country, so, the request of anti-communal violence bills had been raised.
“We will choose the party that will discuss our problems and ensure to implement it, if they form the government,” he said, adding that this resolution will be sent to the national president of all political parties and their actions will decide their further courses.
