Lucknow: The Bharatiya Janata party remains focused on OBC outreach and is declared a ticket for two chairs again, both in the Bareilly district.
While the Minister of State in the Yogi government and sat MLA from Baheri, Chhatrapal Singh Gangwar, had been repeated, MLA sat another from Bhojipura, Bahoranlal Maurya had got a party nod.
This took the number of BJP OBC candidates in the first two phases to 46.
Gangwar was the leader of the Currican Curly BahoranLal originating from the Maurya community.
Gangwar was made by the minister in the last cabinet expansion of the Yogi government.
The height was then seen as the party’s office outreach offer after Lok Sabha MP from Bareilly Santosh Gangar was dropped from the Cabinet Modi.
Chhatrapal enters the term both as MLA.
He also won the BJP ticket in the 2007 Vidhan Sabha election when BSP led by Mayawati has formed a government in the state.
