Letter: Election for a representative from the Municipal Corporation (SMC) letter at Veer Narmad Gujarat South University (VNSGU) ends in the midst of police bandobust and security arrangements on Tuesday.
Himanshu Raulji, the BJP Municipal Board of Ward 22, won the election because all the BJP Board’s voices benefited.
Of the 120 total city council seats 93 came from BJP, while 27 board members came from the AAM AADMI Party (AAP).
A total of 135 personnel under the supervision of seven police supervisors and sub-inspectors maintained the SMC headquarters who turned into a fort that was heavily heavily.
In addition, 75 Marshal SMC is also on duty.
All 120 members of the selected SMC board run their franchise at Sardar Hall.
No vehicles were permitted inside the SMC building and even senior officers had to walk to their office.
The vehicles in the building must depart from the rear gate.
“The heavy bandobust installed considered the disruption during the selection of Pratar Nagar Shikshan Samiti recently.
As a precautionary measure, the bandbust was installed,” said a SMC official, added that the process ended peacefully and the winner was stated.
