Panaji: AAP has stated that the four candidates have a criminal case that enrolled against them but none of them were punished for serious crimes.
The party said that cases submitted to their candidates were politically motivated.
Asked to justify why candidates with criminal records have been nominated, AAP has said that social work carried out by four considers it instead.
The other “less popular” among voters, said AAP in the public declaration.
This declaration is in accordance with the SC command that all political parties must reveal their candidate’s criminal background.
AAP relates to 39 seats and supports the Independent Chandrakan Shetye candidate in Bicholim.
The party has admitted that his candidates for Mandrem, Porvorim, Cumbharjua and Curchorem have cases against them.
Prasad Shahapurkar and Ritesh Chodankar, who fought Mandrem and Porvorim, respectively, had cases submitted against them because they were related, the assembly that violated the law, criminal intimidation and allegations had been submitted to the court.
Candidates for Curchorem AAP Gabriel Fernandes have been accused of damaging public property, while Cumbharjua candidates, Kerkar Gorakhnath, have been accused of property fraud.
A pine has been registered in his hand, but there is no accusation submitted.
AAP has said that the four have become social workers for years and enjoy “great popularity” because of this.
“There are no other prospects that match it.
Others lack popularity among the people,” Aap said in a shared refrain for its fourth.
