Lucknow: Sibgghatullah Ansari, Former Party Bahujan Sajaj Mla and Gangster brothers and legislators who were imprisoned by Mukhtar Ansari, joined the Samajwadi Party on Saturday.
The Ambika Chaudhary Ambika founder member, who was expelled from a party in 2017 to side with Shivpal during the upheaval in the Yadav clan and joined BSP, also returned to his folds along with his supporters.
Sibghatullah joined SP was a rather ‘internal’ affair that occurred before SP workers in the auditorium where party leadership usually held a meeting.
Ambika Chaudhary joins the party at another event in the auditorium where SP head regularly interacts with the press people.
SP National President Akhilesh Yadav led the two events.
Welcoming Sibghatullah and his supporters to SP, Akhilesh expressed hope that the development would strengthen further parties and the impact would be seen in the results of the assembly polls 2022.
Speaking with Ti Sibghatullah who missed the request on what he pushed him to take his bond with BSP as the two brothers of his Afzal and Mukhtar each is sitting BSP MP and MLA.
“I’ll talk about it later,” he said.
Then requested by the media if Afzal will also join SP, Sibghatullah told his brother to decide.
Sibghatullah Ansari has won the 2007 Assembly election from the Mohammadabad Constituency from Ghazipur Regency on the Sawadi Party ticket and once again contested and won from the chair in 2012 on Quami Ekta Dal (QED) tickets floating by his brother Afzal and Mukhtar Ansari.
In 2017, it was a combination of QED with SP which had brought a cold war that was open between Shivpal and Akhilesh Yadav.
The day after Shivpal announced a merger, Akhilesh – as President of SP – strongly opposed the move.
As the main minister, he continued to dismiss the Cabinet Minister Balram Yadav to regulate the merger because it was not in line with the planned alliance and merger of the Head of State.
Finally, Qed locked into Bandwagon Party Bahujan Jamaj accused SP in power from the backstabbing.
On the other hand, Chaudhary is a member of the Founder SP and associate associates from Mulayam Singh Yadav.
He was removed from the party in 2017 for anti-party activities.
The accusation was that he was close to Shivpal, who he had parted ways with Akhilesh after the last one took over when the President’s party replaced Mulayam Singh Yadav.
His son Anand Chaudhary, who opposed the polls of the chairman of the Panchayat from Ballia, supported by the Jamajwadi Party (SP) also officially joined the party.
