Patna: The call center has been operational in the Office of the State Election Commission (SEC) here to receive complaints from people about the upcoming Pancrayat elections.
The source said the call center will receive complaints on weekdays and continue the same as the authorities concerned for fast disposal.
“The number of telephone lines will increase after the announcement of the election schedule,” they said.
People have been given the choice to file their online complaints too.
“They can file their complaints on the Commission’s official website,” said a senior officer, adding complaints will be monitored from time to time.
The Commission has issued direction to all district judges to complete the first level inspection process from the Electronic Voting Machine (EVMS) on August 20.
EVMS will be used for Pancrayat polls for the first time in the state.
However, ballots will be used to select representatives in Panch POS and Sarpanch.
EVMS, on the other hand, will be used for representative selection in Mukhiya posts, members of the environment, members of Panchayat Samiti and members of the district council.
