Patna: With a recent change in city weather, more and more people are sick.
Nearly 60% of patients who visit various hospitals suffer from diseases caused by temperature fluctuations, said the doctor.
According to health experts, weather changes raise the disease spell.
The weather itself did not make someone sick, but the virus did it.
Rhinovirus and Coronavirus are two main viruses that cause colds, coughs and fever.
They doubled quickly during seasonal shifts, resulting in an increase in the number of people who were sick, they said.
Dr.
Satish Kumar from Nalanda Medical College and Hospital claimed that 50-60% of OPD patients who visited the hospital were victims of the season’s change.
Most of them complain of sore throat, clogged nose, respiratory problems, and fever.
He added, “The human body performs its functions at a certain temperature.
However, during the season’s changes, they are forced to reread themselves, making it very susceptible to viruses and infections.
People with lower immunity and vulnerable to allergies are very susceptible to this change.” Dr.
Bim Kumar Karak, former President of the Indian Medical Association (Bihar Branch), said during seasonal changes currently in the state, lung disease and dengue fever increased.
TB also shows an increasing trend this year and the number of Covid-19 cases has also shown a trend that rose slightly for the past three to four days.
He advised people to protect themselves from cold and adopt the appropriate behavior of Covid to stay fit and healthy medically.
“Eat a balanced diet, the more sleep, and make stress remain controlled can help someone handle seasonal diseases better.” Pediatrician, Dr.
Arun Shah, shows that children are most vulnerable to seasonal changes.
They must be protected from cold and away from other people affected by viral diseases.
He added, “Hospital and home care from almost all cities in the state have reported the maximum number of children suffering from seasonal diseases this year.
Only a month back, the situation has come to graduating like sick children lying on the floor and two to three Children occupy a single bed in a different hospital.
Most of them suffer from viral fever and diarrhea.
“Dr.
Shah further said children over six months must be given a dose of influenza vaccines every year so that they remain protected against this virus during change season.
In addition, children also need to be protected against Covid-19 because they have not been vaccinated for the same thing.
Dr.
Prabhakar Devaj, Former Major Medical Head of Patna University Central Dispensary, “Every time we observe season changes, allergens in the neighborhood also rise to almost 200 viruses in the air.
Temperature shifts provide the right conditions for various groups of viruses to develop, which then spread Infectious diseases.
“He suggested that with some small precautions and lifestyle changes, it is possible to avoid seasonal illnesses.
“Train good cleanliness, exercise regularly, eat well, and rest well to avoid viral infections,” he urges people.
