PUDUCHERRY: Schools in the Union region will be reopened for class students from IX to XII from July16 after the Union region witnessed a decrease in the level of incidence of Covid-19 infection.
All universities in this region will also be reopened on July 16.
Minister of Minister for Rangasamy made an announcement in this matter on Sunday.
The region did not report Covid-19 deaths in the day after more than three months span.
There were 145 fresh Covid-19 cases even when 213 patients recovered lower the total active case to 1.505 on Sunday.
Puducherry has a maximum active case with 1,156 followed by (214), MAHE (101) and Yanam (34).
So far a 5.85 lakh vaccine dose (including the second dose) has been given.
