PUDUCHERRY: The weekly part of the Covid-19 infection in the Union Puducherry area stands at 25.3%, which is almost doubled from the national average (12.84%).
From 24,824 samples tested in the last seven days, one in every four samples were tested positively for infection.
According to statistics released by the health of the Union and the Ministry of Family Welfare, the weekly level of infection in the Puducherry reached 26.9%, in 18%, MAHE at 11.5% and Yanam at 3.2%.
Among infected is the former Minister of Puducherry V Narayanasamy.
He isolated himself at his home as he liked to undergo treatment at home.
