Chennai: Chairman of the Minister of Tamil Minister Nadu M on Wednesday announced a Pongal Hampers prize for 2.15 Crore PDS card holders in the state.
The official release said the Hamper prize for RS 1,088 Crore would be given to the rice card holders and Tamil Sri Lanka who lived in rehabilitation centers.
This will be given during the pongal.
Gift gifts will consist of 20 items – raw rice, jaggery, cashews, dry wine, kardamom, moong dal and ghee needed to prepare pongal, turmeric powder, powder chili, coriander powder, mustard, jumar, gram bengal pepper, urad dal, Rava, wheat flour, salt and cloth bag, said release.
