Ahmedabad: The Revenue Committee (AMC) Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has proposed to get rid of the rules of the five-year locking period imposed on taxpayers who checked once.
At present, the AMC BANS pays taxes through an examination for a period of five years if the check is returned by the bank.
“Because this rule of taxpayers must pay their taxes in cash if their checks bounce them once.
When we try to digitize the tax department and our focus is on transactions without cash, this rule does not serve the purpose,” said the Various Jainic, Chairman of the AMC income committee.
He said the department would make amendments and send it for approval to the State Ministry of Finance.
