Gurgaon: City air quality is again dipped in ‘poor’ because of low wind speed on Thursday.
The air quality index (AQI) was established in 257, a large increase from 185 on Wednesday, when Gurgaon recorded a ‘moderate’ air after a gap 41 days.
Wind speed is 6 kmpj on Thursday, down from 11 kmps on Wednesday.
The minimum temperature reaches 9.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday, while the maximum temperature is 24.4 degrees Celsius.
IMD said Gurgaon would likely get rain next Monday.
The State Pollution Control Board Haryana on Thursday sealed six sets of diesel generators on two sites in the district.
“We found a set of DG operating on one site in each sector 29 and 61,” said Regional Officer of Kuldeep Singh.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality lives in the “poor” category for the third consecutive day on Thursday with AQI 289.
Air quality is predicted to remain “poor” for two more days, but can deteriorate for December 12 to 14, because of low winds.
