Poor woman died in Fire in Makarpura Gidc

Vadodara: A 65-year-old woman died in a broken fire in a unit at Makarpura GIDC at Wee Wee Week.
Police said that the fire had begun as a poor woman, identified as a santu, has thrown a beedi on the dry grass where she is being sit.
Even when dry grass caught fire, the woman didn’t move and was swallowed down.
“We have investigated CCTV camera recordings and seems to deliberately set fire to self-immolation.
After the fire starts, he does not move and his body is also found only a few meters from the fire place starting,” said Sub-Inspector B S Shelana from the Manjalpur Fire Extinguisher.
The police did not find a cable or electrical equipment that might cause fire on the spot.
Cop added that the woman might have been tired of living in obedient and decided to end his life.
A native of Dahod District, Santu lived at the location of the unit involved in the work of metal coating over the past four years.
The police said that his sons left him so he came to Vadodara.
The unit owner has allowed him to live in the building and give him a car to care for the unit.
The case of unintentional death was registered at the Manjalpur police station and his mortal remnants were handed over to his son after autopsy on Sunday.
