Guwahati: The Assam Cabinet on Thursday decided that a special portal for retirement cases of state government employees will be launched to quickly provide post-retirement remuneration to retirees.
Overcoming a press conference after the State Cabinet Meeting, chaired by Himanta’s head minister Buswa Sarma, Minister of Education Roman Pegu said the portal would be called ‘kritaGyata’.
“This portal will be a front-end to process all cases of retirement and for matters related to payment fixation.
Pension Seva Kendras will be arranged by Amtron (Assam Electronics Development Corporation Ltd) in all districts for government employees,” said Pegu.
The district office and head department will be authorized because they send retirement papers through the portal and it must be processed in one pension, he added.

“Notifications will be issued for simplification of procedures for retiring in one pension year,” he said.
Puru said the cabinet also decided to appoint Olympic Medal Boxer Lovlina Borghain as a police deputy supervisor of the probation.
The Minister also said that Rs 508.60 Crore loans would be raised by the state government of Nabard for projects under the RIDF-XXVII (rural infrastructure development funds), to be repaid within seven years.
“The Cabinet also approved the RS 160 Crore working capital for food Assam & Civil Supplie Corporation Limited for the procurement of rice from the country farmers by giving them a minimum support price of Rs 1,940 per quintal,” he added.
Pegu said various sets of uniforms, including shoes, woolen jersey, raincoats and hats, will be provided every year to the frontline staff of the Ministry of Forestry, starting from the forest guard level.
Further cabinet decided to divert land to mislead the language & center of cultural research in Dhemuji and NGO Barpeta Zila Mahila Samity in Barpeta.
