Coimbatore: A bit over a month later DMK came into power, the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has substituted that a picture of Tamil saint-poet Thiruvalluvar at a saffron robe with the other at a snowy robe.The saffron-robed Thiruvalluvar portrait, even at the library of their varsity, came under criticism following pictures surfaced social networking two weeks past.
TNAU stated it might have been suspended on the wall via an oversight.Saffron robe on Thiruvalluvar turned into a political problem in Tamil Nadu 2 decades back, encouraging criticism from pro-Tamil bands and DMK that stated Hindutva bands were attempting to distort the picture of this icon.Thiruvalluvar was constantly depicted in whitened from Tamil Nadu.

“After the painting has been completed, it wasn’t saffron but of a darker colour.
Through time, the color faded and it seemed just like saffron,” explained a college representative.
“Immediately following the directions of the Union, we eliminated it,” he further added.
