LISBON: Omicron has become the dominant tension in Portugal where more than 12,000 Covid-19 cases are registered on Friday, said the National Health Agency.
Portugal, one of the countries with the highest level of Covid-19 vaccination throughout the world, has begun to investigate children for five years.
“The omicron variant is dominant in Portugal,” said the Directorate General of Health on Saturday, “Accounting 61.5% of cases on December 22.” On Friday, Portugal recorded 11 deaths and 12,943 cases – a record since January 29.
