Tuticorin: A 21-year-old man from Vilathikulam in Tamil Nadu was arrested on Thursday to post on his photo social media posing with a threatening message.
The police said that he also threatened to endanger a man with the weapon, which led to his arrest.
The man was identified as Thirukumar from Chokkalingapuram South Street near Vilathikulam.
A special team to seek him to catch it on Thursday and grab his weapon.
“This is the fourth arrest that we made to share images with machetes on social media,” said the police supervisor for the Tuticorin District of Jayakumar.
Jayakumar said that they had made this arrest in less than two weeks, following a double beheading in the adjacent Tirunelveli district.
The action will restore the normal state and convince the public that the action to gain popularity will be handled with iron hands for instilling fear of the mind of ordinary people.
Another arrest for sharing images that threatens with machetes is in Srivaicuntam, Kayathar and Ottapidaram.
In Ottapidaram, a man was arrested for cutting his birthday cake with a machete.
SP said that they all did not have the previous case.
He added that the arrest would continue like and when the police found photos of people with machetes.
