Mumbai: The majority of Covid cases in the city came from a high increase in four to five wards where residents had come out for social meetings or had traveled to local tourist destinations, BMC had found.
On Sunday, the city reported 364 cases, taking the Covid calculation as a whole to 7.34,118.
Daily Detection Mumbai has under 500 for the past ten days.
Civil authorities have found that slums or other solid-populated areas almost do not contribute to new cases.
Support City Commissioner Suresh Kakani said that the ward like K-West (Andheri-West, Vile Parle, Juhu), H-West (Bandra, Khar), S (Vikhroli, Bhandup) and R-Central (Borivli) are the main contributors.
“During contact contacts, we found that people have been in social functions or travel to destinations like Lonavla,” he said.
“However, the Mumbai case has added dollars more than a month now.” While there was an increase in demand to open a city, civil authorities were awaiting state decisions.
Mumbai’s active case is below 8,000.
On Sunday, the city has 7,681 people under active covid care; 550 is currently very important.
