Mumbai: Even as the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) on Friday review readiness for the third wave and existing Covid-19-induced restrictions, the number of Covid-19 deaths rose 1,177 deaths in the last two days in the last two days.

The state expects to receive more than 1,000 samples that have been sent for genome sequencing.
