Coimbatore: The pair who returns to the Swedish city through New Delhi has been tested positive for Coronavirus novels and their samples have shown a drop out, which shows that both can be suspected of omicron cases.
According to the Ministry of Health Public, 41-year-old man and his 36-year-old wife landed in New Delhi from Sweden on December 12 and took flights from there to the city.
While the couple was tested negatively on arrival in the city, they remained under quarantine at home for seven days.
The sample was lifted from them on the eighth day back positive for Covid.
While the woman was undergoing treatment at ESI Hospital in the city, her husband had been treated at a government hospital in Idukki in Kerala when he traveled there after finishing home isolation.
