Noida: The first ‘Mini Indoor Stadium’ in Noida can open for the public as soon as local authorities review proposals from private companies for maintenance and operating facilities, officials said on Sundays.
Located in the village of Sarfabad and for Rs 54 Crore, this stadium offers advanced facilities for wrestling, judo, weightlifting, taekwondo, and squash, among others, and is expected to greatly provide sports talents from rural areas, Noida Head of Executive Officer Authority (CEO) Maheshwari’s rituation.
The Mini Stadium will add existing sports facilities for residents in Noida which includes the stadium full of international ground crickets and indoor stadiums with shooting distance as their highlights, Maheshwari said.
“Request for proposals (RFP) to invite offers for operations and maintenance of the Mini Indoor Stadium in Sarfabad Village and the offer will open on September 2,” said General Head of the Noida Authority (CGM) Rajeev Tyagi to PTI.
“The mini stadium is ready and is expected to be open to the public in the second half of September.
This will provide a big boost for sports culture in Noida and because it is located in Sarfabad Village, the talent of the rural part will also get a platform to practice and show off their skills,” said Tyagi .
Mini multi-floor stadium is spread in an area of 9,300 square meters, according to officials.
It has a play area of 1,187 square meters on the ground floor with a seating capacity for 1,000 people other than buildings that have a VVIP lounge, lounge players, dining rooms, lockers, lockers, saunas and steam bath facilities for athletes, they say.
The mini stadium has eight flats for faculty members and housing space for 17 athletes other than the special parking zone, he added.
