Post Arvi Racket, an abortion clinic in six districts under supervision

Nagpur: Illegal abortion rackets excavated at Arvi Taluka from Wardha have encouraged the Ministry of Health to bring all clinics that have ultrasonographic machines (USG) in six East Vidarbha Regency under its supervision.
This exercise aims to ensure that the case of cessation of medical pregnancy or abortion and related medical assistance is carried out in accordance with pre-conceptional norms and pre-Christmas diagnostic actions (PCPNDT).
In the past recent, two major abortion racquets in the Arvi and one from Beed had previously been in the future.

Sanjay Jaiswal has written to Civil Surgeons and the Ministry of Health from the Civic Agency of Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli to check all clinics that have a PCPNDT engine.
The authorities concerned have been urged to complete the inspection and complement the compliance report within 10 days.
In Arvi, various violations of PCPNDT acted by the management of the Kadam Hospital had occurred during the probe.
The police claimed that relevant files were lost from the hospital and no record of inspection in the hospital in the last year was found.
About 54 skeleton bones and 12 skulls of infants, bagside blood and rampant abortion evidence found in hospitals.

Jaiswal, who also monitored the administrative investigation by the Special Committee below PCPNDT Act in Wardha, said clinical inspection with ultrasound machines was routine practice but after illegal abortion rackets, the authorities tried to ensure no serious violations.

Jaiswal said the clinic under the Action PCPNDT should be examined every three months.
“We have told the authorities concerned to complete the inspection as soon as possible if delayed,” he said, adding that this exercise aims to update clinical records and ensure the norms are followed.
The Nagpur Civil Surgeon Dr.
Madhuri Thorat said the focus was to examine whether the medical termination of pregnancy and the use of ultrasound machines was carried out according to the law.
“Various aspects such as checking records, asking whether trained staff and declaration forms proposed well are being covered according to the guidelines,” said Dr.
Thorat.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) The additional commissioner of Ram Joshi said all Wing Health field officials had been ordered to check the clinic according to Jaiswal’s letter.
“NMC officials have started inspections in all zones.
Although the process is carried out every three to six months, a special drive is now initiated,” Joshi said.
