Post-Covid Problems: 50 Hospitalized

New Delhi: Nearly 50 adults and children who have recovered from Covid-19 have been treated in private facilities here with gastrointestinal problems such as colitis, abuse ab adults and multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children.
Aakash Healthcare in Dwarka has received 30 cases of colitis, around 10 cases of liver abscess and 10 cases of pancreatitis.
Doctors in medical facilities have found the flow of children and adults who have recovered from Covid-19 in the past six weeks and faced such problems, said a statement.
A 60-year-old woman was accepted back to hospital four weeks after its recovery from Covid-19.
During the investigation for a chest infection, the doctor observed a pantone in the heart issued by the channel to ensure a successful recovery, he said.
A 14-year-old boy was also taken to the hospital four weeks after he recovered from Covid-19 with bleeding on the bench.

The doctor said nearly 50 adults and children had been hospitalized with gastrointestinal problems (GI), including colitis, intestinal ulcers, and liver abscess in adults and pancreatitis and multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children.
“People who suffered symptoms of six to eight weeks ago and recovered from Covid after three four weeks came with a loose movement problem that turned out to be colitis.
We have around 10 cases of liver abscess and 10 cases of pancreatitis in adults.

Sharad Malhotra, head, gastroenterology department, Aakash Healthcare.
Malhotra said they had seen an average of five pancreatitis cases and 10 cases of liver abscess in three weeks.
Senior doctors say it is important to maintain infection other than chest problems because this can appear as additional complications in people with respiratory failure and pneumonia.
“In addition, the problem of GI can reduce immunity and worsen infection.
Until now, no one in the hospital who died of post-covid gastro problems but this complication must be maintained to prevent the severity of the case.

Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director of medical facilities, said Covid-19 management did not handle it with recovery from infection and post-covid symptoms quite varied without patterns and could affect all organs, even if the organ was not affected by the virus.
“With the approaching monsoon in Delhi, when GI problems are more likely to increase, we might face problems diagnosing the cause behind the problem.
