After a lively week of Onam, Kerala woke up with a grim reality of pandemic as a Covid-19 daily case in the state near the highest three months 24,296 on Tuesday.
A massive surge pushed a national count of new cases past 37,000 marks after 11 days.
India recorded 37,642 new cases on Tuesday, a count of one highest day since August 13.
Nearly 65% ​​of fresh infections come from Kerala.

Mizoram recorded a large surge in the case, with 845 fresh infections noted in the state, the highest in 13 days.
