JAMSHEDPUR: Nature lovers have begun to flock to Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary (DWS) since the Puja Durga break when opening the door to tourists after more than 18 months of covid-induced closure.
Until now, 200 visitors came to Dalma every day but the number is expected to increase steadily in the coming weeks, officials said.
“Visitors usually begin to come during the puja break and in winter, the number rises substantially,” said Division Forest Officer (DFO), Dalma, Abhishek Kumar.
The official said because footsteps brought the opportunity to get the opportunity for young people who lived in the foothills of the surrounding hills, the number of tourism was important.
“Young children, living in villages at the foothills, get money that works as a guide while some of them open an emergency store to sell soft drinks and snacks,” added the official.
With good monsoon rain filling all the body of the water on the hill, visitors enjoy watching cold elephants in the pool and playing each other.
“All 10 guest rooms ordered during pujas and questions for November also came,” said an official booking in the office range in Dalma.
Management Sanctuary has ensured all visitors come to relax in compliance with the covid-safety guidelines.
Social distance, masking and hand sanitation are mandatory for visitors in the sanctuary, DFO said.
“The rooms are disanited every day,” he said.
Authorities have opened the gate for visitors in July this year but the response is lukewarm.
It jumped from pues.
In 2017, 2018 and 2019, counts of visitors in the sanctuary were 33,000, 36,000 and 40,000 respectively.
Spread Area 192 Km Square, Kudus, located in the lap of nature, is the preferred goal for nature lovers.
Mostly, this is an elephant asylum but also has animals such as sloth beer, civet, deer barks, wild pigs and birds of various species in many ways.
