Postal Dept. launched ‘DAK Parcel Mahotsav’

Hyderabad: To ensure better service to its customers, in the celebration season in the coming days, the Telangana Post Department has launched ‘DAK Mahotsav’ for four months to order and send their gift packages and packages near and loved, staying at domestic and abroad.
On Friday, the Post Department officials announced it in Hyderabad.
“As the Dasara Festival season, Deepavali, and Christmas, New Year and Pongal, will come, Hyderabad Postal Region has launched this Mahotsav as a special drive, until January 15, 2022,” according to an assistant director, Hyderabad region, J Srinivas.
Special package counters will be arranged at each headpoint office to receive parcels throughout the customer’s work hours, he added.
Packages can also be taken from customers, based on online requests through ‘Post Info Applications’ or with requests via Beat Postman.
Packing was made available at five post offices, Hanamkonda, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad and Warangal too, said Srinivas.
Post department officials suggest customers to provide their cellphone numbers on the package to get an SMS alert after shipping.
Customers can track their packages online and moreover, the pre-delivery package warning will be sent to the customer’s cellphone number via SMS.
