Ludhiana: The body of a postman from Jagraon was found in a canal in the Ajitwal area of Moga on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Raj Kumar aka Raju.According to report, Raju was allegedly killed by unknown criminals and his body was thrown into the canal.
It was discovered by people who passed on Sunday morning, who told the police.
A team from the Ajitwal police station reached the place and started the probe into this problem.
Meanwhile, people have taken incident videos and has been uploaded online.
Police officials said family members from the deceased came to find out about the incident online and then a police party from the Ajitwal police station reached the deceased’s house to be questioned.
Police officials said the throat from the deceased was the gap of his assignment as usual but did not return home.
They added that his relatives looked for him when his death news reached his home on Sunday morning.
Police officers said at this time, the reason for the murder of the deceased was unknown, but had discussed that Raju was used to give money to interesting people.
They added that it was suspected that noise might have killed him for money.
Deputy Supervisor of Police (DSP) Nihal Singh Wala Parson Singh said the problem was being examined.
Senior Police Supervisors, Ludhiana Rural, Chararjit Singh said because the late throat was a gap, a murder case would be registered with the Ajitwal police station because the corpse had been found in the area.
The deceased has survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
