Vadodara: Members ‘Samitan Samitan’ on Thursday demanded that Ms University Vice-Chancellor (VC), Professor Parimal Vyas, must stop groups and group meetings on the University campus on behalf of pre-inspection for the National Assessment and Accreditation Board (NAAC).
The Senate member group and syndicate said that VC had to stop risking the health of university employees when Covid-19 infection spread quickly on campus.
Sources said that Vyas had conducted two rounds of meetings at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Trade as part of preparation ahead of the Naac team visit.
Members ‘San Samitan’ claim that more than 50% of staff of the university’s internal quality assurance team or family members have been tested positively Covid-19.
And the same thing is the case when it comes to headquarters, faculties or hostel premises.
Meanwhile demanding that VC must delay group meetings or visits to campus, the group has suggested that the Dean can be asked to make the necessary arrangements so that the infection does not spread further.
