Madurai: American College in Madurai postponed the semester exam – scheduled to start offline on campus on Monday – for two weeks after students protest that demanded the same behavior in online mode.
City College, which is affiliated with the University of Madurai Kamaraj and autonomous, is to conduct semester exams for second and third students UG and PG start Monday.
More than 500 students were staged in protest in front of the Collectorate District.
The protesters said offline classes on campus have begun to be held recently and when the class still happens in online mode as well, it is natural that the exam is done online too.
The protesters spread when the college authorities announced that they delayed the semester exam for two weeks.
